VITERBO

Viterbo, city of Etrurian origins. Traces of the Etrurian settlement can be detected on the hill of the Duomo among the rests of an impressive perimeter wall.

TARQUINIA

The greatest Etruscan Temple we know. In Tarquinia you can find amazing churches, palaces and the most important archaeological museum of the district. This wonderful town represents a diamond amongst Tuscia old centres.

SAN PELLEGRINO QUARTER – VT

Among the Medieval jewels of the city there is the San Pellegrino Quarter, in the city centre, a typical example of land of the thirteenth century.

NECROPOLIS OF SUTRI (The door of Etruria)

Sutri town is located in the Cassian way at 50 km from Rome. Thanks to its strategic site situated on a rock spur where two brooks flow together, it represents one of the most ancient doors of the Etruria.

ST. ROSA MACCHINE – VT

The 3rd of September of each year is the transport of the Santa Rosa Machine and this is the principal Viterbo festival. The machine is accompanied through the city centre up to the Santa Rosa Sanctuary. It is a very exalting event, unique for its beauty.

VILLA LANTE – BAGNAIA

Among the Tuscia jewels we recommend also the sixteenth century Villa Lante, built just outside the ancient village, at Bagnaia (4 kilometres far from Viterbo), that constitutes one of the most relevant creations of the Italian late Renaissance.

NECROPOLIS OF NORCHIA

Enchanting rocky Necropolis of the Etrurian area. It is located near Viterbo, close to Vetralla and Blera.

ORSINI CASTLE – VASANELLO

The Castle is situated in the heart of Vasanello (a small nice town just 3 km from the holiday farm ), it was built to guard the ancient suburb situated just behind it.    A great manifestation where people can have dinner within the castle walls tasting local food and wine.

THE TOWN OF ORTE

Orte, better known as important railway and road link is also a charming place to visit. The centre of the town keeps a remarkable historical heritage to show to visitors. The main celebration is the “Ottava Medievale”, an evocation of some medieval usages and customs, it takes place the last day of August until the second Sunday of September . People celebrate the Patron Saint and the 8th day archers of every district compete with each others to win the prize in the central square.

VIGNANELLO – RUSPOLI CASTLE

The first traces of Ruspoli Castle date back to 847 when it was converted into a convent for the Benedictine monks. The actual structure is due to Beatrice Farnese and Sforza Marescotti who concurred to its reconstruction in 1531, in this way the medieval ruin became a charming castle.

SORIANO NEL CIMINO

It’s the biggest village of the Cimini Mountains area. It’s famous for its festival of Chestnuts which takes place every year in the month of October. During the festival taverns delight guests with typical dishes.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA OF FERENTO

The site offers the possibility of walking among remains of considerable importance and a wonderful natural countryside.

TUSCANIA

The city is a diamond for art . Old monuments, ruins and remains testify the presence of an ancient florid culture. Visitors will be impressed by this lovely city.

MONTALTO DI CASTRO

An uncontaminated nature rich in cultivation of olive-grove and vineyards. The flora and the fauna life are particularly luxuriant, and the are several nature trials within the Park. Vulci preserves very important traces of the Etruscan and Roman phases of the town, as well as impressive Necropolis famous for their unique wall frescoes such as those on the Tomb François.

CIVITA CASTELLANA

AGRO FALISCO ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM – It’s one of the best realization of a military architecture created by the Papal State in the 16th century.

CAPRAROLA – FARNESE PALACE

Villa Farnese of superb beauty is a masterpiece of the 5th century Italian architecture.

CALCATA

Calcata, one of the best preserved medieval village in Italy, it is located 50 km from Viterbo and 50 km from Rome. It’s the most particular village in the surrounding areas.

BOMARZO

THE SACRED WOOD or THE MONSTERS PARK – the Sacred Wood of the Orsini at Bomarzo (only 15 km far from the structure) is one of the most important places for the architecture and history of the Italian landscape. This is a park of about three hectares, where a series of fantastic structures modelled on huge volcanic rocks have been created in order to create a garden of delights, full of innovative works of art embedded in the sinuous green architectures of a typical Italian garden.

BAGNOREGIO

“THE DYING CITY” – Civita appears clinged to the edge of a cliff where it dominates the wide desolated valley madeup of calanchi. This isolation is the result of a continuous erosion that makes the tufa rock becoming thinner and thinner on an unstable layer of clay and sand altered by wind and rain. One almost has the impression that this gate opens into a supernatural world, surviving in another dimension.

BOLSENA LAKE

It’s one of the best place to visit in the centre of Italy. It’s the biggest lake in Europe which has volcanic origin.

VICO LAKE

It’s considered the pearl of the Cimini area, its beaches are close to the luxuriant vegetation which surrounds the lake.

NARNI

The city is situated near Terni and it’s a small diamond in Umbria. Its millenarian history signed by different phases (Roman, Medieval and Renaissance) had contributed to create important monuments such as the wonderful fortress of Albornoz. Fantastic and suggestive excursions show to visitors the ancient part of the city.

NORCIA

The city is situated in the National Park area of the Sibillini Mountains. It claims numerous environmental, artistic and culinary sources. The worm welcome of its inhabitants contributes to consider the village a lovely place to visit.

PIEDILUCO LAKE

It’s immersed in a unique and impressive environmental scenery between the relieves of the mountain Caperno close to the homonymous village. It’s famous for the great rowing race. Visitors should try a pleasant excursion on the lake by ecological boats.

MARMORE FALLS – TERNI

One of the greatest and glamorous spectacle in nature. The wide park which surrounds the falls is equipped with numerous restaurants and fast foods and permits to visitors to spend pleasant time in a really suggestive place.

ORVIETO

The city stands on a peculiar tufaceous rock surrounded by numerous cultivated fields and vineyards. The result is a spectacular fortress overlooking the river Paglia valley.

ASSISI

The city is situated in the east- centre of the Umbria area where Subasio Mountain stands up and overlooks the wide plain furrowed by Tlace.

PERUGIA

Is an old town situated in the north- centre area of Umbria. The old city centre rises on the high mountains at the right border of the Tiber river. It’s a place where the mix of cultures and peoples during centuries had given many great features to the city : art, history, religion, culture, artisanship, environment and food and wine gourmet of course.

DERUTA – PERUGIA

It’s situated very close to Perugia (only 15 km). It rises on the hills at the left border of the Tiber river, immersed in a wide valley rich of cultivated fields. This small centre is famous for its traditional pottery art business started during the Etruscan Age. Nowadays this sector still represents the main economy income of the village.
