VITERBO

SAN PELLEGRINO QUARTER - VITERBO
Among the Medieval jewels of the city there is the San Pellegrino Quarter, in the city centre, a typical example of land of the thirteenth century.

ST. ROSA MACCHINE - VITERBO

ORSINI CASTLE - VASANELLO
The Castle is situated in the heart of Vasanello (a small nice town just 3 km from the holiday farm ), it was built to guard the ancient suburb situated just behind it. Every year in summer the event called “A tavola con gli Orsini” (“Have dinner at Orsini’s”) takes place in the garden of the castle. A great manifestation where people can have dinner within the castle walls tasting local food and wine.

THE TOWN OF ORTE
Orte, better known as important railway and road link is also a charming place to visit. The centre of the town keeps a remarkable historical heritage to show to visitors. The main celebration is the “Ottava Medievale”, an evocation of some medieval usages and customs, it takes place the last day of August until the second Sunday of September . People celebrate the Patron Saint and the 8th day archers of every district compete with each others to win the prize in the central square.

VIGNANELLO - RUSPLOLI CASTLE
The first traces of Ruspoli Castle date back to 847 when it was converted into a convent for the Benedictine monks. The actual structure is due to Beatrice Farnese and Sforza Marescotti who concurred to its reconstruction in 1531, in this way the medieval ruin became a charming castle.

SORIANO NEL CIMINO
It’s the biggest village of the Cimini Mountains area. It’s famous for its festival of Chestnuts which takes place every year in the month of October. During the festival taverns delight guests with typical dishes.

NECROPOLIS OF SUTRI

Sutri town is located in the Cassian way at 50 km from Rome. Thanks to its strategic site situated on a rock spur where two brooks flow together, it represents one of the most ancient doors of the Etruria.

MONTALTO DI CASTRO
VULCI NATURALIST PARK - An uncontaminated nature rich in cultivation of olive-grove and vineyards. THE SACRED WOOD or THE MONSTERS PARK – the Sacred Wood of the Orsini at Bomarzo (only 15 km far from the structure) is one of the most important places for the architecture and history of the Italian landscape. This is a park of about three hectares, where a series of fantastic structures modelled on huge volcanic rocks have been created in order to create a garden of delights, full of innovative works of art embedded in the sinuous green architectures of a typical Italian garden.

CIVITA OF BAGNOREGIO
“THE DYING CITY” - Civita appears clinged to the edge of a cliff where it dominates the wide desolated valley madeup of calanchi. This isolation is the result of a continuous erosion that makes the tufa rock becoming thinner and thinner on an unstable layer of clay and sand altered by wind and rain. One almost has the impression that this gate opens into a supernatural world, surviving in another dimension.

ORVIETO
The city stands on a peculiar tufaceous rock surrounded by numerous cultivated fields and vineyards. The result is a spectacular fortress overlooking the river Paglia valley.

The city is situated in the east- centre of the Umbria area where Subasio Mountain stands up and overlooks the wide plain furrowed by Tlace.

DERUTA - PERUGIA
