Our vineyards grow on a rolling hill in the Lazio countryside.
Vineyards of Tenuta la Torraccia
The lands of Tenuta la Torraccia are part of the Orte countryside, a few kilometers from the Tiber River in the Agro Falisco and Tuscia areas.
The vineyards cover a total area of 1.5 hectares, on a hill clearly visible from the apartments of the farmhouse. 1ha of vineyard cultivated with our Grechetto with Northern exposure and 0.5ha with Montepulciano (Violone) with Southern exposure.
All the vines in our vineyards are trained into the espalier system with the Guyot pruning technique. The vines grow on limestone soils ranging from medium texture to gravel.
Once upon a time the sea arrived here, as evidenced by the findings of fossil shells, essences that we can savor in wines today.
The cellar is equipped with the most modern technologies to transform the grapes into a finished product in the best way, such as a soft press and stainless steel tanks with centralized temperature control.
Savory, mineral and fruity wine, in the mouth it is fresh with good acidity and a long almondy tail.
It is refined 3 months and can age up to 5 years.
Designation IGP Lazio Bianco Grechetto.
This wine is characterized by a deep red ruby colour with purple highlights.
Soft and vinous to the palate, red fruits notes supported by a good acidity. Perfect with red meat and both soft and seasoned cheeses. It is refined3 months in bottle. Ages up to 10 years and beyond.
Designation IGP Lazio Rosso.
A small plantation that every year gives us the fruits to produce a delicious oil. We produce very few 0.50 l bottles, which we sell to our guests or to those who ask us.
